Dubai SME and WOMENA Has Launched New Entrepreneur Program for Emirati Women

Dubai SME and Womena initiated the future Founders and Future Funders Program to improve the prospects of entrepreneurship among Emirati women with the aid of capitals. The program focuses on Emirati women who are currently on university-level and seeks to aid them to be future traders and entrepreneurs.

Womena said that Emirati women come with an important role to try out as internet marketers and investors, following a 2017 Crunchbase record confirmed that just 7 % of decision-makers at venture capital organizations in America are women.

The program launched by Womena and Dubai SME targeted young women who are looking for a profession in a trade or considering to take part in entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship has an essential role in empowering women, and SME sector in Dubai is experiencing a rise in entrepreneurial initiatives from women. To market entrepreneurial skill, Dubai SME is concentrating on bridging gaps, specifically in conditions of knowledge and financing.

Deputy chief executive of Dubai SME said that "Our relationship with Womena signifies an important step that will permit women business owners and shareholders to deploy their resources on successful initiatives".

Dubai SME and investment organization WOMENA have completed a joint program to assist entrepreneurship among women.

THE NEAR FUTURE Founders and the near future Funders Program at Zayed School targeted university-level women in the beginning of their employment opportunities.

Both four-week courses targeted showing students how to get started on a solid and progressive business, and created funding students to endeavour to invest, looking to give them the abilities necessary to work in a VC organization or choose start-up.

The programs culminated in a demonstration day, where potential entrepreneurs and marketers pitched their business to the students of finance, who examined them.

Female founders constitute 14 % of entrepreneurs in the MENA region, but only 10 % of Emirati business people, relating to data from UN Women.

Deputy CEO of Dubai SME, Saeed Matar Al Merri, said, "Entrepreneurship has an essential role in women empowerment and Dubai SME is viewing an amazing upsurge in entrepreneurial initiatives from women.

Zayed University Dean, Paul Williams, said: "An entrepreneurial state of mind reaches the core of our educational mission. Not merely do our students develop competencies and skills in entrepreneurship using their in-depth knowledge and academic studies, a few of them put it into practice and be successful companies. Furthermore, our faculty are positively performing applied research into entrepreneurship, which is aiding the UAE community to execute progressive and creative answers to real-world small company problems."

WOMENA creator Elissa Freiha said the business was focused on empowering ladies in the centre East, from providing capitals to women and investing in their ideas to supporting the shareholders themselves. We also understand the value of sparking exhilaration and attention from a much prior level in their professional development.
