The respected ruler,  Prime Minster and Vice President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Abu Dhabi’s crowned prince His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sat together on Tuesday to launch the most awaited Mars Science City project.

Covering 1.9millions sq ft, the city is worth AED 500 million, this is the largest space occupying stimulation city ever constructed and will be a realistic and viable model to stimulate Mars habitat.

The project, that was presented at the annual conferences for the UAE authorities in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, includes laboratories for food, energy and drinking water, as well as agricultural assessment and studies about food security in the foreseeable future. The city will also possess a museum that presents humanity's most significant space successes, including educational areas designed to engage young individuals with space, and encourage the interest for exploration and breakthrough.

The wall space of the museum will be 3D imprinted, using sand from the UAE desert.

At the conferences, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said, "The UAE looks for determine international efforts to build up technologies that benefit humankind, and this establish the building blocks of an improved future for generations to come.
